Demise of Nations is a turn-based strategy game built in the style of Civilization, where players lead an ancient empire. Here the requirements for winning, inevitably depend on the constraints for victory established initially when starting each mode: annihilation, domination, capture the flag, defend, supremacy or conquest.
Gameplay in Demise of Nations is relatively complex, although it's not likely to come as a real surprise to true fans of this genre. Building and managing cities, recruiting different military units, hiring workers, improving resources, expanding your borders, establishing diplomatic relations with AI players, and so on are all part and parcel in any decent turn-based 4X strategy game. In that sense, this title is no different, as again you're the one to guide your empire towards glory.
When starting each game you choose requisites for victory as well as the total number of civilizations to compete against and a maximum number of turns. Plus enabling advanced options, means you'll get to customize the game down to each minute detail (if that's your sort of thing).
Demise of Nations is spectacular 4X, which includes one free territory to play in, in this case--Europe. Within each map you can play as much as you want, but if you want to try your hand at other different maps, you'll need to pay for them.
